Not a fan of black metal these days. But have to admit this song had me mesmerized from the beginning. Restrained, like those souls on their way to hell. Bon voyage, bon vivants!
Looking at Michelangelo's sprawling fresco, I realize now how ugly and ungainly the whole thing is to be adorning the interior of a place of devotion. Compare it to some of Iran's mosque decorations, blissful and uplifting geometric patterns.
